Friends Theme Song "I'll Be There For You"(1995) by 



"Friends" is an American television sitcom aired on NBC created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman that started in 1994 and finished up their 10th and final season in 2004. Friends is arguably one of the greatest TV shows that has ever aired due to the comedy and the relatable factors that play into the show. Some of the most well known actors and actresses began to take off in their careers with this show including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Mathew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LaBlanc, and Brad Pitt. This show took off on the charts receiving many awards for their show and pay that most people would think of as insane. 

The theme song that plays at the beginning of every episode is recognized by people who have never even seen the show. "I'll Be There For You" is the title of the song but it is more than just a catchy theme song. Allee Willlis, Danny Wilde, Phil Solem, Michael Skloff, David Crane were the composers of this theme song and The Rembrandts performed it. 

The Rembrandts were an American pop/rock duo from Los Angelos, CA including Danny Wilde and Phil Solem and this song was by far their biggest hit. This duo had started performing in 1989 and have been going to this day on occasion. 



"I'll Be There For You" brings a lot more to the table than a theme song. This song brings a lot of truth when it comes to close friends and family that many people can relate to. Even the title of the song describes how the six main characters will have each others back no matter what, as shown in the show. The lyrics to this song describe how close nit these friends are and how problems are easier to go through with each other. Sometimes when my friends or I am feeling down, I'll play this song because it always seems to make us feel better. 


The most obvious elements I found in this song is is the melody and the Tempo. tempo is found by looking at the speed and "catchy" vibe this song brings behind the voice of the duo. The melody is seen by the artists in the chorus of this song when they say "I'll be there for you" with the background singers add on.

Elvis Presley Elvis Presley, also referred to as "The King", is known for his magical performances containing energy and sass that made the crowd go crazy every single performances. But before we talk about that let me tell you his back story. Elvis Aron Presley was born in January of 1935 in Mississippi. Elvis came from a low income family that was God loving and humble. Continued Exploration: You've Got A Friend In Me from Toy Story (Music and the Fictive Dream)

  Background Information: I chose to write about the song featured in the movie Toy Story  called "You've Got a Friend In Me" . Toy Story is a computer animated film produced by Pixar and released by Disney Pictures in 1995. Directed by John Lasseter, Lee Unkrich, Josh Cooley, and Valerie LaPointe. Tom Hanks plays Woody and Tim Allen plays Buzz Lightyear. This movie series consisted 5 movies and was an extremely popular movie for everyone to enjoy.  "You've Got a Friend In Me" was written and sang by Randy Newman in 1995 for the movie. Newman sang 2 other songs in the movie called "Strange Things" and "I Will Go Sailing No More". All the songs were performed in the US and were clearly a big hit.  Overview: The meaning behind this song is special for the movie and for real life friendships that we can all relate to at some point in our lives.
